About waiting area dashboards
Depending on your organisation, when a patient attends UEC Urgent and Emergency Care. In Nervecentre, this covers 'ED areas' and SDEC., they might be sent to a specific waiting area and given a ticket number. In the waiting area is a waiting area dashboard. This dashboard shows a list of ticket numbers for patients in the waiting area.
When a clinician is ready to see the patient, they can call the patient to a specific room using Nervecentre. On the waiting area dashboard, the patient's ticket number is highlighted and the room they need to go to is shown.

Workflow for waiting area dashboards

A patient goes to the hospital reception.
You attend the patient from Inpatients > Patient Detail > Admit to ED. In the form, you select that you want to use Call Patient, and you select a waiting area from Location. Nervecentre assigns the patient a ticket number.

You can view a patient's ticket number, from Inpatients > Patient Detail > Summary. You must tell the patient their ticket number.

The patient takes a seat in the waiting area and looks at the waiting area dashboard.
The patient's ticket number appears on the waiting list dashboard.

To call a patient to a room, from Inpatients > Patient Detail > Clinical > Call Patient, select a room then select Call.

The waiting area dashboard highlights the patient's ticket number in green and shows the room the patient needs to go to.
